03. Taiko Stylus / DS-10
どこまで生音に近づけるか、どこまで和のグルーヴを追求するか、その旅はここから本格的に始まったと
思います。「〜stylus」シリーズの記念すべき第一弾。制作当時は本当にシンセ初心者で何をどうすれば良いのか
分からず、太鼓の演奏動画などを観ながらひたすらツマミを弄っていたのがデータから伺えます。太鼓の音の
爆発感、と言うか膜の振動をVCO2にビブラートをかける事やDRIVEを上げる事で表現しています。1本で
充分な迫力が出るように、EGからVCA INにパッチケーブルを延ばし、音圧を稼いでいます。太鼓のリムの音は
何をしたいのか分からないパッチングになっていますが、シンセで作りにくい生音系のパーカッション制作に
ついては、理詰めでやるよりも感覚に従った方が良いのかもしれません。幼い頃、神輿に乗っけてもらい、
ドンドンカッカッ！とやったのをDSでもスタイラスを使ってやりたかったのが制作動機でした。2本あるうちの
笛の一本のアタックや音程を微妙にずらして「ヘタクソな子どもが混じってる感」を出してみたり、とにかく
「お祭りの音」の再現がそこにあった為、某所でライブをした時にライブ配信のコメントで『お好み焼き食いたい！」
「焼きそばの匂いがする！」みたいなのが流れていたと聞いた時は本当に嬉しかったです。
